This study examines the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in social entrepreneurship practices and its effect on sustainability performance in Maros Regency. Social entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as a strategic instrument for local development; however, empirical evidence on how SDGs are operationalized at the district level remains limited. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected through surveys of social enterprise actors and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling. The findings indicate that SDGs integration significantly influences sustainability performance both directly and indirectly through innovation orientation as a partial mediating variable. Social enterprises that internalize SDGs principles particularly decent work and economic growth, reduced inequalities, and responsible consumption and production demonstrate stronger economic, social, and environmental performance. Innovation orientation plays a critical role in translating normative SDGs commitments into measurable organizational outcomes. The study contributes to the development of a contextual empirical model linking SDGs integration, innovation orientation, and sustainability performance at the local level. These findings highlight the strategic importance of strengthening innovation ecosystems and policy support to enhance the contribution of social entrepreneurship to sustainable regional development.
