JEINSA: Jurnal Ekonomi Ichsan Sidenreng Rappang encourages constructive academic discussion and scholarly engagement following the publication of articles. The journal recognizes that post-publication discussion is an important part of maintaining the quality, transparency, credibility, and integrity of scholarly communication.
Post-publication discussion provides an opportunity for readers, researchers, authors, and other members of the academic community to raise questions, offer alternative interpretations, identify potential errors, and discuss the implications of published research, particularly in the fields of economics, management, accounting, business, and related disciplines.
JEINSA welcomes scholarly comments, critical assessments, questions, and discussions concerning articles published in the journal. Submissions may address:
The validity and interpretation of research findings.
The appropriateness of research methods and data analysis.
Theoretical contributions and implications for economic and management practices.
Limitations of the research and opportunities for further investigation.
Potential errors, inconsistencies, or issues concerning research integrity.
Alternative explanations or perspectives that contribute to academic understanding.
All post-publication contributions must be evidence-based, relevant to the published article, respectful in tone, and consistent with academic standards.
Readers who wish to comment on a published article may contact the JEINSA editorial office through the journal's official communication channels or submit a formal scholarly comment in accordance with the journal's submission procedures.
Submissions should clearly identify the article being discussed, including its title, author(s), publication year, volume, issue, and DOI or article URL, where available. Authors of the original article may be invited to respond to substantive comments or criticisms.
The editorial team will assess whether a submission is relevant, sufficiently supported by evidence, academically constructive, and appropriate for publication. Where necessary, the editor may invite independent reviewers or subject-matter experts to evaluate the contribution.
All post-publication comments and responses are subject to editorial assessment before publication. JEINSA will consider the following criteria:
Relevance to the published article.
Scientific and academic merit.
Accuracy and adequacy of supporting evidence.
Clarity, professionalism, and constructive argumentation.
Compliance with publication ethics and applicable editorial policies.
The editor may accept a contribution, request revisions, seek an independent assessment, or reject it if it does not meet the journal's standards. The editorial process must remain fair, impartial, and independent of personal, institutional, or commercial interests.
When a post-publication comment raises substantive questions or criticism concerning a published article, the original authors may be invited to provide a response.
JEINSA aims to provide a fair opportunity for authors to clarify their arguments, explain their methodology, address identified limitations, or correct misunderstandings. Responses must be evidence-based, professional, and directly relevant to the issues raised.
The journal may publish the comment and the author's response together or separately, depending on editorial judgment and publication arrangements. An opportunity to respond does not guarantee publication.
If a post-publication discussion identifies a credible concern about the accuracy, reliability, or integrity of a published article, JEINSA will assess the matter carefully and impartially.
Depending on the nature and severity of the concern, the journal may take one or more of the following actions:
a. Correction: A correction may be issued when a published article contains an error that can be rectified without invalidating its overall findings or conclusions.
b. Expression of Concern: An expression of concern may be published when there are substantial questions about an article's reliability or research integrity that require further investigation.
c. Retraction: An article may be retracted when reliable evidence establishes that its findings are seriously unreliable or that significant publication or research misconduct warrants retraction.
d. Editorial Clarification: The journal may publish a clarification or editorial note when additional information is needed to explain an issue relating to a published article.
Any action will be proportionate to the evidence, documented by the editorial team, and communicated transparently. Where appropriate, the journal will consult the relevant authors, institutions, or other responsible parties before reaching a decision.
All participants in post-publication discussion must uphold academic integrity, respect, fairness, and professional responsibility.
JEINSA does not accept defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, or unsupported allegations. Criticism must focus on the research, evidence, methods, interpretations, or scholarly arguments rather than personal characteristics.
Confidential information obtained during editorial assessment must be protected. Individuals involved in the discussion must disclose relevant conflicts of interest, and the editorial team must manage such conflicts to preserve impartiality.
JEINSA is committed to maintaining an accurate and transparent scholarly record. When comments, responses, corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions are published, the journal will provide appropriate links to the related article and associated editorial notices whenever technically and operationally possible.
The journal will preserve the publication record in accordance with its archiving policies and applicable publication ethics standards. Corrections and retractions will be clearly identified so that readers can understand the status of the article.
JEINSA encourages responsible post-publication discussion as a means of strengthening scholarly dialogue, improving research quality, and promoting accountability within the academic community.
All post-publication matters will be handled objectively, confidentially where appropriate, and in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and recognized publication ethics principles. The ultimate goal is to protect the integrity of the scholarly record and support the continuous development of knowledge in economics, management, accounting, and related fields.
