JEINSA: Jurnal Ekonomi Ichsan Sidenreng Rappang is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, and integrity throughout the publication process. All authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence the research, peer-review process, editorial decisions, or publication of a manuscript.
A conflict of interest may arise when personal, professional, financial, institutional, or other relationships could improperly influence, or be perceived to influence, an individual's judgment and responsibilities in the publication process.
Authors must disclose any financial and non-financial interests that may be relevant to their submitted manuscripts. Such interests may include, but are not limited to:
Financial support, research grants, sponsorships, or funding from organizations that may benefit from the research findings.
Employment, consultancy, honoraria, or other financial relationships with relevant organizations.
Personal, family, professional, or institutional relationships that could influence the research.
Intellectual property interests, patents, or commercial interests related to the manuscript.
Other circumstances that may reasonably be perceived as affecting the objectivity of the research.
Authors must include a Conflict of Interest Statement in their manuscript. If no conflicts exist, the following declaration may be used:
“The authors declare that there are no conflicts of interest regarding the publication of this paper.”
All sources of financial support must be acknowledged separately in the Funding Statement, where applicable. Disclosure of a conflict of interest does not automatically disqualify a manuscript from consideration.
Editors must make editorial decisions based on the manuscript's academic merit, originality, methodological quality, relevance to the journal's scope, and compliance with publication ethics.
Editors must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest involving a submitted manuscript. Such conflicts may include personal relationships with the authors, recent collaboration, institutional affiliation, financial interests, or direct involvement in the research.
When a conflict of interest exists, the editor must withdraw from handling the manuscript and refer it to an independent editor who can make an impartial decision. Editors must not use unpublished information obtained through the editorial process for personal or professional advantage.
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially. They must disclose any circumstances that could compromise their impartiality, including financial interests, personal relationships, institutional connections, professional competition, or recent collaboration with the authors.
Reviewers who identify a significant conflict of interest must notify the editor promptly and decline the review assignment when impartiality cannot reasonably be assured.
Reviewers must not use unpublished data, arguments, or findings from manuscripts under review for their own research or professional benefit.
All relevant conflicts of interest must be disclosed to the editorial team at the time of manuscript submission or as soon as they become apparent.
JEINSA will assess disclosed conflicts and take appropriate measures to safeguard the integrity of the publication process. These measures may include assigning an independent editor or reviewer, requesting additional disclosure, documenting the conflict, or taking other actions consistent with the journal's publication ethics policies.
Failure to disclose a relevant conflict of interest may result in editorial action, including rejection of the manuscript, correction of a published article, or retraction when warranted by the circumstances and applicable publication ethics standards.
JEINSA ensures that the disclosure and management of conflicts of interest are conducted fairly and transparently. The existence of a disclosed conflict does not necessarily imply misconduct or automatically prevent publication.
All parties involved in the publication process are expected to uphold academic integrity, professional responsibility, and transparency to preserve the credibility of the journal and the trust of its readers.
By submitting a manuscript to JEINSA, authors acknowledge their responsibility to disclose relevant conflicts of interest and agree to comply with the journal's publication ethics policies.
